Why is there a need for Battle?

The First Battle

After the transgression of Adam and Eve, the Lord prophesied the propagation of the two seeds within man: those who could embrace the nature of the serpent and those who would be of the nature of Christ. Cain and Abel clearly reflect these seeds and their predicted enmity.

Cain is in us all. He was the firstborn and a type of the “first man, Adam.” He was of the earth, a tiller of the ground (Gen. 4:2) This designates the fundamental characteristic of those who will refer to as the seed of Cain, “the earthly minded.” This includes all who have not truly been born again by the Spirit. As the Lord Jesus testified, Unless a man is born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God.” (John 3:3). Just as the curse upon the serpent to crawl on his belly forces him to conform to the contour of the earth, so his seed is confined to the natural realm. But a natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God; for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them because they are spiritually appraised (1 Cor. 2:14) This is our condition until the curse is removed in Christ. As we are born again by His Spirit, we begin to see and walk in heavenly places, and we become less and less subject to the contours of the natural realm.

The descendants of Cain, in their restricted vision, became worshippers of the creature instead of the Creator. Cain is a “tiller of the ground” because that is all he can see. We can only worship that which we know! The culminating  stages of self-worship are evident in materialism and various humanistic dogmas. These philosophies place man at the center of the universe. “Religious” man, whose devotion is to the church or to religious organization rather than to Jesus, is also a “creature-worshipper.” This attitude is also found among spiritualists who seek betterment, fulfillment, harmony, etc. Sermons now a days are focus on how you can be a better person, a happy person, how to be successful, etc. not far from humanism when the only thing to do is to die to your own self or to be crucified with Jesus (Gal. 2:20). There is joy in serving the Lord   for such joy is not based on material things or self-fulfillment but through trials and afflictions, sufferings and persecutions, you endured up to the end. And that joy can only be revealed and manifested in heaven once we meet the Lord saying, “Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your Lord.’ (Matthew 25:23)

In the conclusion of God’s written word to man, the Book of Revelation, we see the consummation of  the two seeds that were sown in man; the “beast” and the glorified Christ.

The Revelation was not given to John only to unfold a coming sequence of events – it was given as a “Revelation of Jesus Christ” (Revelation 1:1) The very word history originally meant “His-story.” As the Spirit opens our eyes, even in what may appear to be the terrible confusion of man’s history, we see Him and His purposes.

In John’s vision, there is also a great deal about the anti-Christ, or the “man of sin.” This man of sin is the personification of the sin of man. This is our basic nature until we are changed in Christ. This is the mature fruit of the Tree of Knowledge. The root and power of the man of sin is the serpent; the beast had to be fully revealed in man—whatever is sown must also be reaped. In this beast we see ourselves without Christ. By this revelation, we begin to perceive the depth of the unfathomable grace and mercy of God and our profound need to be reborn in Christ.

Revelation 13:16-17 teaches that the beast has a mark which he attempts to place upon us. In chapter 14, verses 9-19m we see the terrible wrath comes upon us all who take the mark. Men have striven to understand the manner in which the beast would attempt to place his mark on them, so they would know what to refuse and would be free from the wrath foretold. Many of those who are frantically trying to understand how the beast will try to place his mark on them are partaking of the spirit of the beast everyday. Will we be free from the curse of the mark if we refuse a physical mark but are of the very nature of the beast? Just as the seal (literal “mark”) that the Lord places upon His bondservants is not a physical mark, the mark of the beast is probably far more subtle than we have been led to believe. Regardless of the form in which the mark comes (or has come), those who have partaken of the nature of the beast—the spirit of the world—will not be able to resist the mark or anything else the beast has to offer. Our only deliverance from the wrath of God is to be found in Christ. Taking the mark is not sin itself. The sin is found in worshipping the “beast” The mark is merely evidence of such worship.

In Revelation 13:11, we see that this “beast” comes up out of the earth. This beast is the result of the seed of Cain having been a “tiller of the ground” or earthly minded. The beast is the embodiment of religion that originates in the mind of man. It comes up out of the earth in contrast to Christ who comes down out of heaven. Jesus can only be brought forth by the Spirit of God. The New Jerusalem, typical of the true Church, the bride of Christ, also comes down out of heaven, testifying of her heavenly origin. She is born of God, not man.

If we are trusting in our knowledge of good and evil to discern the beast, we will easily be deceived. The nature of the beast is rooted just as much in the “good” that is in man as it is in the evil. Satan comes as an “angel of light,” or messenger of truth, because truth has been more deceptive than evil. Satan used the scriptures, the truth to tempt Jesus in the wilderness, but he twisted the truth for his own purpose. It was not the evil nature of the Tree of Knowledge that deceived Eve; it was the good fruit of the knowledge of good and evil. The “good” of the Tree of Knowledge kills just as certainly as the evil.

The evil nature of man is manifested in these last days with increasing intensity, but so is the “good’ of man which is rooted in the same tree. Just as the evil is becoming more blatant, the good is becoming more subtle and deceptive. For example what would be the popularity of a leader today if he promised safe streets, sound currency, an end to all economic problems, unemployment, pornography and all other forms of perversion and the restoration of our national dignity and military strength, and delivered all these promises. And these is what the Antichrist will do, that is why many will be deceived even the elect. Though, we don’t have to wait for the Antichrist in order to be deceived, most people today even those who call themselves Christians might have already been deceived. No matter how many posters you post about Jesus but the question is, what is your motive? Some are even making a sign of the anti-Christ by their fingers. Is it really coming from Christ in you or from the beast in you, remember the nature of the beast is always seeking attention to himself. There’s nothing wrong about posting or wearing a shirt with Jesus print on them for as long as you have a pure motive and not  condemning or accusing somebody else.

The good of the man is just the other face of the evil in man. Satan uses good as a tool to bring about his purposes. .There were only relative handful of Christians that discerned the deception from the beginning. The same Satanic mask is promulgated today. Our discernment must be more than discerning good from evil, we must know the Lord’s voice and follow Him only.

As Christians we often gravitate toward and esteem most highly those who are most conservative and moral. Jesus did not. Sinners did not crucify the Lord. Israel’s most moral and outstanding citizens crucified Him. The Lord declared to such that the publicans and harlots would enter the Kingdom of God before they would. Those who consider themselves “good citizens’ or “good moral people” may be further from the Kingdom than the lowest pervert. “There is no one who does good, not even one.” (Psalm 14:3). Sinners and even the demon-possessed humbled themselves before the Lord; the religious and upstanding citizens held Him in contempt as not being as righteous as they were. Who is the enemy? As I once heard a newly enlightened pastor remark, “We have met the enemy and HE IS US!”

Man’s nature must change. In every man and woman born, there is the same nature of the beast which seeks to draw all attention and worship to itself. We may not verbally say it, but unknowingly our actions may say it. Even the greatest compassion and benovelence of man is often an attempt to atone for his own evil and justify why he does not need Christ and His atonement. The good of the tree of Knowledge has always been more effective in separating us from the Lord than the evil has been. The goodness of man can be the most ugly manifestation of his pride and rebellion against God. The entire tree of Knowledge of good and evil that we inherited must be torn from our soul by the roots.

Before Jesus could be revealed the message of repentance had to be preached. This message alone could prepare the way for Him then, and this message alone can prepare the way for Him today.. To repent means more than to have feelings of remorse because of sin or to walk down some aisle; it means to turn away from sin. Sin is not just a few wrong things we have done; it is the nature of what we are, regardless of whether the guise is good or evil. In Christ, to repent means to renounce all that we are. The Apostle Paul clearly articulated this in his letter to the church at Philippi:

“Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the false circumcision.

For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.

Though I might also have confidence in the flesh. If any other man thinketh that he hath whereof he might trust in the flesh, I more:

Circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, an Hebrew of the Hebrews; as touching the law, a Pharisee;

Concerning zeal, persecuting the church; touching the righteousness which is in the law, blameless.

But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ.

Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,

And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:” (Philippians 3:2-9)

If you haven’t seen it yet, the first battle is the battle within ourselves. It’s not just the battle between good and evil within ourselves because both are evil that stems out of the Tree of Knowledge as expounded above. It’s the battle between you and the nature of the beast in you. You cannot fight for the real battle with Jesus, the “Faithful Witness” if you’re trying to cover it up until now.

To explain further how we got this image of this beast in us, consider the writings of A.W. Tozer in his book, “The Pursuit of God.”

“Our woes began when God was forced out of His central shrine of four hearts and things were allowed to enter. Within human heart things have taken over. Men have now by nature no peace within their hearts, for God is crowned there no longer, but there in the moral dusk, stubborn and aggressive usurpers fight among themselves for first place on the throne of our hearts.

This is not a mere methaphor, but an accurate analysis of our real spiritual trouble. There is within the human heart a tough, fibrous root of fallen life whose nature is to possess, always to possess. It covets things with a deep and fierce passion. The pronoun my and mine look innocent enough in print, but their constant and universal use is significant.  They express the real nature of the old Adamic man (the beast) better than a thousand volumes of theology could do. They are verbal symptoms of our deep disease. The roots of our hearts have grown down into things, and we dare not pull up one rootlet lest we die. Things have become necessary to us, a development never originally intended. God’s gifts now take the place of God, and the whole course of nature is upset by the monstrous substitution.”

Even a good Christian as you are can be evil, if you’re intention for being good is for your own glory and not for the glory of God, unless you settle that war within you and ask Jesus, the deliverer to root out any form of the nature of the beast in you. It may not be easy but  painful and it depends on how Jesus, the deliverer will do it for you but probably, He will not for the time being if you are so busy serving Him like Martha. You can go on and on just walking around the circle like the Israelites in the wilderness but still carrying the nature of the beast in you. And a fearful thing that might happen is that the beast in you can manifest anytime in the midst of severe pressure, temptation, trials, persecution, the tendency to retaliate and get resentment against your critics and enemies is always there, just to get even is still a sign that that monstrous nature is in you. It may not happen at once but under a  prolong severe circumstances, that ugly beast within you may suddenly appear, I hope that may not happen. But I know it will one day. I’ve seen it happen to others and to me.  I’ve been there. Sometimes God will allow unpleasant circumstances to happen in your life just to get your attention  about this matter.

God may have been speaking to you through the inward witness, circumstances and events; you may just have ignored it. .  There may be many signs that the Lord is showing you so that you can stop what you are doing for a while to hear what He has to say. I know it. I’ve been there. And I regretted for not  obeying His voice. But now, I’m doing the best I could to listen attentively and obeying Him even in a detailed instruction He would say,  and part of it is this message.

Out of love and concern, this writings intends to bother you to move you into the place of dissatisfaction and restlessness until you realize that the longing of your soul is not something else nor anyone else but Jesus, the deliverer, the lover of your soul, who came down from heaven to rescue you from the miry pit of hell, died on the Cross, shed His blood to wash away all your sins and most of all to get rid of that nature of the beast in you, you cannot do it on your own, but Jesus can, the great Warrior of all the ages, just surrender to Him all your struggles in life. Jesus wants to manifest His presence in you not just for one day but every day of your life so that He alone can reign supreme in the temple of your heart. Will you allow Him now to form His character and image in you instead of the beast? Just open up your heart, repent of your sins and receive Him as your Lord and Savior and be willing to be transformed into His image and likeness.

Nothing On the Internet Will Be Private Again

The Internet is rapidly being transformed into a Big Brother control grid where privacy rights are being systematically strangled to death. The control freaks that run things have become absolutely obsessed with watching, tracking, monitoring and recording virtually everything that you do on the Internet. One thing that you can count on is that nothing you do on the Internet will ever be private again.

In fact, if you are obsessed with privacy then the last place you want to be is on the Internet. Most Americans have absolutely no idea how far Internet surveillance has advanced in the past few years. At this point, it would be hard to imagine any place less private than the Internet. Do not ever put anything on the Internet that you would not want the authorities or your employer to hold you accountable for.

Basically, the Internet is creating a permanent dossier on each one of us, and we contribute to this process by freely posting gigantic volumes of information about ourselves on social media websites such as Facebook and Twitter. The Internet is the greatest tool for mass communication that the world has perhaps ever seen, and it gives average citizens the ability to communicate with each other like never before, but there is also a downside to using the Internet.

Everything that we do on the Internet is being watched, monitored and recorded and there is no longer any such thing as Internet privacy. If you think that you still have any privacy on the Internet, then you are either ignorant of what is going on or you are being delusional.

The following are the reasons why nothing you do on the Internet will ever be private again….

#1 The Federal Government Can Now Retain Your Internet Activity For Five Years – Even If You Have No Links To Terrorism

In the past, the National Counterterrorism Center could only retain information about you for 180 days if you did not have any links to terrorism.

Well, that has now completely changed.

Attorney General Eric Holder has signed new guidelines which will now allow the National Counterterrorism Center to hold on to your private information (including your Internet activity) for five years.

But an extra four and a half extra years is no big deal, right?

#2 Potential Employers Are Demanding To See Your Internet Activity

In the past, potential employers would pull up the social media profiles of job candidates in order to get a better idea of who they might be hiring.

But now, many potential employers are actually demanding the passwords to the Facebook accounts of job applicants.

The following comes from a recent CBS News report….

The bad news is that employers are increasingly asking job seekers for their Facebook and other social-media passwords as part of the process of vetting them.

While it’s unclear how widespread that practice is, there’s plenty of anecdotal evidence to suggest that it is happening with increasing frequency, as CBS MoneyWatch’s Suzanne Lucas details. You can, of course, refuse to give a job interviewer your passwords. But expect your employment application to hit the round file, or the trash, if you don’t cooperate.

#3 Law Enforcement Is Watching You

Do you remember the father that posted that “Facebook Parenting for the troubled teen” video that went wildly viral all over the Internet earlier this year?

That video was watched more than 31 million times, but it also resulted in both the police and Child Protective Services officials visiting his home.

So be careful what you post on YouTube. If you post something that they don’t like, law enforcement personnel may come knocking on your door.

#4 Government Agencies Are Watching You

The FBI, the CIA, the Department of Homeland Security, the U.S. military and the Federal Reserve have all announced plans to systematically monitor social media websites such as Facebook and Twitter.

These agencies have lists of “keywords” that they use to search for posts that they want to look at.

For example, the words “attack”, “exercise” and “epidemic” are just three of the keywords that the Department of Homeland Security is known to use.

So keep that in mind the next time you post something on Facebook or Twitter.

The following is from a recent Salon article….

In 2010, the DHS National Operations Center established a Media Monitoring Capability (MMC). According to an internal agency document, MMC is tasked with “leveraging news stories, media reports and postings on social media sites… for operationally relevant data, information, analysis, and imagery.”
The definition of operationally relevant data includes “media reports that reflect adversely on DHS and response activities,” “partisan or agenda-driven sites,” and a final category ambiguously labeled “research/studies, etc.”

#5 Barack Obama Is Watching You

The Obama campaign has launched “truth teams” which will be scouring the Internet for any rumors that are “not true” about Barack Obama during the 2012 presidential campaign.

So if you post something on the Internet about Barack Obama that the Obama campaign does not consider to be truthful, there is a good chance that a “truth team” will be examining what you have written.

#6 They Are Monitoring And Recording All Talk Radio (Including Internet Talk Radio)

As I have written about previously, the FBI has hired a company in Virginia to systematically record talk radio programs (including Internet talk radio programs) all over the United States. The goal of this effort is to collect “potential evidence”, whatever that means. The following comes from an article by Mark Weaver of WMAL.com….

If you call a radio talk show and get on the air, you might be recorded by the FBI.

The FBI has awarded a $524,927 contract to a Virginia company to record as much radio news and talk programming as it can find on the Internet.

The NSA has been constructing the largest spy center in the history of the world out in the Utah desert. The following is howa recent Wired article described this new facility….

Under construction by contractors with top-secret clearances, the blandly named Utah Data Center is being built for the National Security Agency. A project of immense secrecy, it is the final piece in a complex puzzle assembled over the past decade. Its purpose: to intercept, decipher, analyze, and store vast swaths of the world’s communications as they zap down from satellites and zip through the underground and undersea cables of international, foreign, and domestic networks.

The heavily fortified $2 billion center should be up and running in September 2013. Flowing through its servers and routers and stored in near-bottomless databases will be all forms of communication, including the complete contents of private emails, cell phone calls, and Google searches, as well as all sorts of personal data trails—parking receipts, travel itineraries, bookstore purchases, and other digital “pocket litter.”

So please do not assume that anything you do on the Internet will ever be private again.

The online world has now become a world where there is absolutely no privacy.

Some are responding to this new reality by running away from the Internet, but I think that is the wrong approach.

The Internet has broken the monopoly that the elite had on mass communication. It has given average people the ability to communicate with one another like never before. A YouTube video or a blog post that you put up today could be seen by tens of millions of people. Information is power, and the Internet has put a tremendous amount of power into the

Yes, there will be people watching every single thing you do on the Internet. So it is important to be very careful.

But the Internet also gives us an opportunity to impact the world that is unlike anything previous generations have ever had. Something that you post on the Internet today could end up completely changing a life on the other side of the globe tomorrow. Those in power have begun to recognize how powerful the Internet is, and so they have begun to crack down on it.

It is also important to keep in mind that the Internet allows us to watch them as well. The Internet is an incredible tool for exposing evil and corruption, and over the past decade we have seen many instances when average people on the Internet have broken major news stories that the mainstream media would not dare touch initially.

In the final analysis, the ability to wake people up and to literally change the world outweighs the risks of being watched. If the world eventually descends into deep tyranny, you aren’t going to have anywhere to hide even if you are not on the Internet.

Don’t be afraid to stand up for the truth. It is better to do what is right and to be persecuted for it than to stand aside and do nothing.

The Internet is an awesome tool. It can be used for great good or for great evil.

If we sit on our hands, we will accomplish nothing.

But if we try, we might just end up changing the world. (from prophecynewswatched)

Biblical Perspective:

“And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.

And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. (Matt. 24:6,7,8,14)

“And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment,” (Heb. 9:27)
